Five Quick Tips for Busy Business Owners

Are you a Busy Business Owner?

Chances are you are busy with the day to day operations of your company, and are looking for ways to save time on marketing. You’ve come to the right place!

Check out Small Town Multimedia’s quick tips for busy business owners when it comes to marketing below:

  1. Outsource your Social Media and Marketing!
    • Seeking outside help can be scary! We understand this. However, working with a marketing or multimedia agency can free up your schedule, so you can spend time on other aspects of the business. These agencies remove any stress you may have of remembering to post a Tweet, and allow you to give your full attention to the day-to-day operations of the business.
  2. Plan, Plan, Plan!
    • As you start working on your social media and marketing content, it is important to have a flexible plan for your content. As a busy business owner, it is best to plan your social media content ahead as much as possible. The easiest way to do this is through a social media calendar. However, keep all of the content flexible (we know things can come up). Once you have things planned for at least a month in advance, each day you can review the calendar and post to your platforms.
  3. Set a Goal!
    • It is always good to have an intended goal in mind for your marketing. This could be how many additional sales you would like to see by the end of the month, new customers added to the store, or even new likes to your page by a certain date. Adding a goal to your marketing plan allows you to keep on track when planning content, and makes evaluating how you did each month much easier.
  4. Follow a Pattern!
    • Set a routine for your marketing. During your weekly routine, set aside certain days that you work on marketing for your business. It is important to keep these days consistent from week to week. The more constant these days are each week; the more likely you will remember to evaluate the marketing for your business.
  5. Focus on Your Target Platforms & Customers!
    • It is important to target all of content toward your desired customers, and the platforms you are successful on. As a busy business owner, you can’t reach everyone. It is crucial to know which platforms your business performs best on, and which it does not. Once you know this, spend a majority of your time on the platforms your business does well on, and target your desired customers.
